1. Who these standards are for
The Competency Standards for IT Litigation Support Paralegals are designed for use by paralegals and other non-lawyer IT professionals engaged in litigation support work.
2. Number of levels
The IT Litigation Support standards are likely to be set at approximately five levels, reflecting the complexity of the litigation support world.
3. Guidance for Institute members
Guidance on use of the IT litigation support standards will be provided once they are more advanced in their development.
4. Stakeholders
We are delighted to be working in conjunction with Potter Farrelly - the industry leader in specialised information management for the legal and justice sector in Australia, Asia, Canada and Europe.
The standards are being drafted with the involvement of leading industry groups such as LiST (the Litigation Support Technology Group).
5. Publication information
We hope to have the IT Litigation Support NCS ready for publication in by the end of 2010.
