4. Guidance for Institute members
Very experienced conveyancing paralegals (i.e. those equivalent to Qualified Paralegals) should be able to comply with these Standards.
Associates of the Institute should benchmark against the Introductory Level 'generic' paralegal standards. Certified Paralegal members should benchmark against the Intermediate Level 'generic' paralegal standards.
We recommend that you work towards compliance with these Standards and discuss them with your employer/line manager.

5. Stakeholders
We were delighted to have worked on this project with the UK government's Land Registry (www.landregistry.gov.uk).

The Standards were drafted by representatives from the Institute and Registry together with leading conveyancing experts from the University of Westminster and the law firm, Nick Peterken, solicitors.

The current edition of the standards were published in April 2010.
