National Competency Standards for Paralegals and Legal Support Staff
The Institute of Paralegals is the not-for-profit professional body that sets National Competency Standards ("NCS") for paralegals and other non-lawyers who work in the legal profession.
We create standards with the help of more than 70 law firms, legal regulators, government departments and others who are either on our Standing NCS Working Party or who have requested a watching brief.
Through this website you can get information about NCS and download available standards free-of-charge.
If you want to receive information about standards development work then please either join our working party (open to organisations only) and/or subscribe to our free e-newsletter, The Paralegal Practitioner: see www.ParalegalPractitioner.com.
Please use the menu bars to the left and above to view the information available on this site.
